Features

High-Speed Internet

A historic $65 billion investment is included in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to increase the availability of high-speed Internet access that is both affordable and dependable in American communities. In order to meet the needs of our communities for digital equity and inclusion, NTIA recently announced the launch of a number of new high-speed Internet grant programs funded by the law. These programs will build high-speed Internet infrastructure across the nation and increase the number of low-cost high-speed Internet service options.

FCC Qualifying

Furthermore, qualifying households can receive a discount of up to $30 per month toward Internet service through the Federal Communications Commission's FCC Program (FCC), and households on qualified tribal lands can receive a discount of up to $75 per month.

Digital Equity

In order to guarantee that every individual and community has access to the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to fully benefit from the digital economy, the Digital Equity Act allocates $2.75 billion to the creation of three grant programs. Financing efforts for digital equity planning is the first step in NTIA's implementation of the Digital Equity Act.
